WHAT IN THE FUCK is going on? I was promised that if people burned more fossil fuels and I kept using CFCs that global warming would raise the temperature. Fucking bullshit. Its the 21st of August and its been raining for two weeks almost non-stop. Global warmings a fucking myth like bigfoot.

Its mad that summer time has reduced people to riding indoors. Fuck rain lets all go and live in the desert.

Way to spoil a memory. For most of the 90's there was a great park in Leigh-on-sea, 2 spines, a bowl, an 8ft midi, a complex, vert wall and a massive vert ramp. Spent some serious amount of time down there, met most of the people I ride with now there. It was falling apart towards the end, surprised it didn't kill anyone (I ended up with a metal pin through my finger for 3 months) it finally closed in late 99/00. Fast forward to 2008, and the council have erected a new concrete park on the same site, in a word, it sucks. A very mellow bowl, with a jumpable hip, then nowhere else to go. A few flat banks, a ridiculous vert wall after a volcano and a far too mellow quarter, and the odd grind box. There's a lovely basketball court, and a few climbing rocks as well, shame no one went anywhere near them.
Arranged to meet a few old faces down there, even a couple of riding buddies from the 80's , we nibbled around, had fun, if I lived round the corner I might visit occasionally. I don't, so I won't be back

For people to work it out? Multi billion dollar sports companies strolling in and taking over, giving the bare minimum and taking what they can. Reebok tried it with Boks, that shit almost flew with Hoffman riding for them but shit, Nike? Sure. Levis? Do it. Bmxers are smart enough to see through the bullshit, oh, shit, wait, theyre not. Not alot of em anyway. Seduced by new colourways (its the same shoe dick head), and a rebranding (6.0? WTF is that). Bmxers flocked to Nike and there Skateboarding line, which were shit for riding in anyway. Now every kid on the streets and in the skatepark is 'rocking the latest dunks' or whatever model is 'In' at the moment. What the fuck? When did BMX become about running shoes? Notice Nike has no BMX branded shoes like the SB line. Thats loyalty to the sport innit. Nike has no place in BMX and the fact there still trying (and succeeding) is testament to how stupid some people really are. Nikes the worst offender obviously but lets not overlook all that is Levis. "were making a video, thats how much were into BMX". Thanks? theyve sponsored an awesome team for sure but of all the money they must have made selling denim to dick heads, what have they put back in? Red Bull at least pay there riders a nice bit of money, they do a lot of awesome contests and I hear they do a LOT behind the scenes. But shit, are we so gullible in the age of limitless information that we cant make our own decisions? We have to be told whats cool to fit in? Fuck off. I'm sick of seeing all you clones with your leggings, scaffold pole handlebars and your fucking nikes. Get a clue retard, Nike are 20 years too fucking late. Support the people that support BMX, those that didnt run away the last time BMX "died".
